About Vimal Jyothy Central School, Senior Secondary
Vimal Jyothy Central School is an academic fraternity of Adoration Sisters dedicated to the motto of Love, Service and Sacrifice. The school has been born out of the educational vision of Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialacherry, the founder of Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. He was the first Bishop of Changanasserry, who was a great educationist, and social reformer. The school is proud of its organizational culture rooted in Gospel Values, mutual respect, personal maturity and integrity, team work and social concern.
The Vimal Jyothy with CBSE syllabus came into existence in the academic year 2002. The late Rev. Sr. Rose Arackal with 68 students paved the seed of this school. In 2003 LKG to VIIth class with 325 students, the same year Rev. Sr. Aloysius took charge as the principal of the school. There was 15 qualified teachers and 2 supporting staff. In the year 2004-05 the school got affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi and the strength was 497 students 23 qualified teachers. In 2004 May Rev. Sr. Rose Arackal had gone for heavenly abode. In 2005 June Vimal Jyothy bid farewell to Rev. Sr. Aloysius and Rev. Sr. Mercy Pullan took charge as the Principal of this institution. In 2008 March 10th the school was upgraded to senior secondary level. Presently the school has a strength about 1500 students 60 teachers and 13 supporting and office staff including the school and kindergarten section. The Vimal Jyothy as its name indicates spreads light visualizing new horizons in this Mupliyam village.
In 2011 June Sr. Mercy Pullan SABS had gone for higher studies and Sr.Aney Grace Vellakada SABS was appointed to steer this institution. In the academic year 2012-13 the school completes ten successful years of its glorious existence. On this auspicious occasion let me acknowledge your support and guidance and wish you the greetings of decennial year.

The emblem is a distinctive sign expressing our school’s vision and objectives the lamp signifies learning for enlightenment. The shield shows an excellence in curriculum and co-curricular fields. Our motto and watch word learn-love-serve, occupies the centre of the emblem and the entire focus is directed to these words which are powerfully packed with meaning, so such and limitless in its understanding.

Eligibility for Admission
Class I : Candidates must have completed 5 years of age. ( No child younger than five or older than seven is admitted to class I)
Class XI : Candidate must have passed the Xth standard Examination or equivalent examination. Candidate will be selected on merit basis.

Selection
Admissions are made strictly on the basis of merit as per their marks in the entrance test and interview of the candidate.
Enrolment
Selection list will be published in the school and memo card will be sent to the candidate. Selected candidate should appear for an interview along with his/her parents/guardians in the specified date and submit the following documents in original.
a. Memo received from the school.
b. Transfer certificate countersigned by a proper authority.
c. Conduct certificate (for students from class VII on wards)
d. Birth certificate and community certificate.
e. Annual Exam report of previous class.
1. Every candidate seeking admission must be introduced in person by his/her parent or guardian.
2. The fees once paid will not be refunded even if the pupil, for any reason, opts to leave the school immediately.
3. Every pupil is required to have an attendance of not less than 90% of the total number of working days.
Unauthorized absence of 15 days will involve the removal of the pupil’s name from the rolls.
4. The application for a transfer certificate should be given to the Principal in writing. A week’s notice is required
and a fee of Rs. 50/- should be paid. Those who intend to take T.C. at the end of the academic year will have
to apply for it before 31st March. After this date they will be given to those who have fully settled their dues.
